The buzz around town, is that Manolo Blahnik heels are back! Ever since the New York times published an article about Manolo Blahnik and the recent interest in his single sole, classic style, I’ve been seeing more and more celebrities fall back into this classic trend.

Christian Louboutin Single Sole

Yes, Christian Louboutin, McQueen, and Miu Miu have gotten popular, and platforms are still very in this season, but there’s nothing like the classic single sole stilletto.

In a recent article, WWD interviewed a few reps from department stores such as “Barneys New York” and “Saks Fifth Avenue”.. The overall summary of what they had to say was that, although platforms, chunky heels and flats are very “in”, in 2012; We will be seeing and appreciating the classic sophistication of the single sole more! Designers like Manolo Blahnik, the 68 year old cobbler who has become a fashion icon, will be rightfully appreciated!  You can read more on this at Yahoo, by clicking here.

P.S. – I love single sole shoes, the only thing is, they’re painful! I think having a platform give you height, and a little bit more support.

Regardless if the Single Sole is making a comeback, I’m still going to stick to my platform heels! (Then again, im 4’11 so I can)… What is your favorite type of shoe? Flat? Platform? Low Heel? Single Sole? Comment! Let us know! Do you love or hate Manolo?
